The Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) Fall 2018 and 2019 pilot data were reported by districts within Kent Intermediate School District (KISD) to the Center for Educational Performance and Information in the Michigan Student Data System. As per Public Act 108 of 2017 (MCL 388.1704), school districts were able to choose to administer the KRA to a sample of at least 35% of their enrolled students. Thus, not all kindergarteners were assessed, data were only available for the entire ISD, and only traditional districts (i.e., not charter districts) were included in the assessment. KISD results included a sample of students from 19 of the 20 public school districts.

Throughout the rest of the KConnect site, school years are referred to by the latter calendar year (e.g., 2019 for the 2018-2019 school year); it differs here because the assessment is done at the very beginning of the school year.
